Composition and Properties

LMH salt water special corrosion inhibitor is light-colored liquid. The main ingredients include Film-forming agent, oxidant, co-solvent, and scale inhibitor. The product can form 3 protective films on the metal surface, and effectively reduce the corrosion damage and perforation leakage caused by chloride ions on metal equipment such as carbon steel, stainless steel, copper, navy copper and aluminum. Significantly extend equipment’s life, and reduce equipment’s losses due to leakage characteristic and downtime caused by maintenance. This product does not contain harmful substances such as the chromium salts. Safe, non-corrosive, non- flammable, non-volatile, and no special smell.

Purpose and Usage

LMH salt water special corrosion inhibitor is efficient corrosion inhibitor that can use with Calcium chloride solution, sodium chloride solution and other chloride salt solutions. The product can be used in refrigeration systems, and also in the other environments with saline, such as saline drilling solution. Good water solubility with salt, suitable for carbon steel, copper, brass and other material systems.

Anti-rust Test Method

Get 100ml of newly prepared 30% calcium chloride saline in a 200ml beaker. Add 1.0ml saline corrosion inhibitor (no need to add more), and stir well. Add a polished carbon steel block or copper test block. After 24 hours, observe the corrosion of the test block. In the same way, take 100ml of 30% calcium chloride saline (without adding a corrosion inhibitor) for a comparison test. The copper and carbon steel test pieces remained as new in a calcium chloride solution containing 1% salt water corrosion inhibitor, but were significantly corroded in a calcium chloride solution without salt water corrosion inhibitor.

Packaging and Storage

LMH saltwater corrosion inhibitor series products are packed in plastic barrels and stored in a cool, dark place. It is normal if there is a small amount of precipitation to occur during storage, and the color is getting darker if storage for a long time. This does not affect the corrosion performance, just shake or stir before use. The storage period is one year.
